The Donkey-Corn Diaries was the culmination of two semesters of research and design. For my senior thesis, I was challenged to identify a societal issue and create a meaningful solution. I chose to focus on children's literacy, and my response was the Donkey-Corn Diaries—a series of classroom aid posters designed to make reading comprehension more engaging and fun. Each poster features three short, vivid excerpts for students to read. Then students are prompted to illustrate what they just read. This encourages them to interact with the text on a deeper level through creativity and visualization.
